New York 2048 - Our cities have expanded into vast, densely populated megalopolises. An overlay of augmented-reality advertising and holo-propaganda weaves all around us, shaping our society and demanding our obedience.
Emerging from this cacophony come a collective of underground AR+Holo graffiti writers and artists intent on hijacking the network, turning the medium against the message, creating pieces that envelop skyscrapers and remix advertising.
Essentially this is a story of social and political rebellion through non-violent means - it's about reclaiming our public spaces, our individuality and our society.
Blending illustration, typography, graphics and structure excites me. 3RD RAIL lends itself to design/tech advances too - imagine the graffiti in the story animating and growing beyond the page via augmented reality. It's stuff like this I really want to see in comics.
